Neo Steam day one
Well, Atlus launched the “Early Access Beta” for Neo Steam today. It looks quite fun, and I enjoyed what I was able to play of it today. It’s a steampunk MMORPG, and both Neko and I are playing it. His two big reasons, as I understand it, are that it’s being published in the US by Atlus, and that it’s steampunk. I tend to agree. ^_^
He woke up earlier and got playing sooner than I did, so he’s already in the teens in terms of levels. I’m still only about level 5 or so. ^^; I need to play more. Especially if I’m gonna hit level 20 to be eligible for those steampunk glasses. ;)
I’m playing a Lyell, in “The Kingdom of Elerd” faction. They’re basically catgirls, yay! ;) Though I was somewhat disappointed with the limited choices in features during character creation. Also, the ponytail that I wanted for my character was matched with these roundish ears that I didn’t want…. so I had to compromise. Ah, well, such is life… and games. n.n
I should have expected this, having run into it in betas for other MMOs, but I did run into some untranslated text in the Lyell starting city. Stuff that was still in Japanese. I’m sure they’ll fix it in a patch, but it was still somewhat amusing to see.
Anyway, I’m going to try and blog more about my experiences as I continue in the game. またね！
