Cosplay with Character
So, this is the first of two posts specifically on the types of cosplay used to power up your Charadolls for the water gun shooting game. This one is about キャラコスプレ, Character Cosplay. As you can see from the image to the left, there’s three characters. Nagisa Furukawa from Clannad, Lisianthus from Shuffle!, and Otome Asakura from Da Capo II. Translation of this information post starts after the jump.

コスプレ水鉄砲シューティングの重要なファクター“コスプレ”。
衣装を揃えるとキャラの可愛らしさだけでなくてシューティング能力もパワーアップ。
ならばコスプレさせないわけがないのがai sp@ceユーザーの真骨頂だ。
が、しかし！ ここで重要となるのが、どんなコスプレが実装されるか。
ということで、今回は第１期導入のキャラコスプレ３つのパワーアップ・ポイントを解説していくぞ！
Translation:
Character cosplay’s big public launch!
Cosplay water gun shooting’s principal factor, “cosplay.”
Whenever you can change (your charadoll’s) clothes, not just the character’s loveliness, but also their shooting ability powers up.
That being the case, there’s no way ai sp@ce users can show their true worth without (causing their charadolls to) cosplay.[A1]
But still! And this has become important, what kind of cosplay has been implemented?
In that regard, for the first installation of character cosplay, let’s get going with the explanation of 3 power up points![B1]

キャラコスプレは３種類！
「キャラコスプレ」とは『CLANNAD』『SHUFFLE！』『D.C.Ⅱ』の
3作品に登場する公式キャラのコスプレを揃えることで、
キャラドルがパワーアップするというもの。
まさにai sp@ceユーザーのためのコスプレといえるだろう。第1期に実装されるのは、各作品一人ずつ。
『CLANNAD』からは古河渚、『SHUFFLE！』からはリシアンサス、
そして『D.C.Ⅱ』からは朝倉音姫の3人だ。
もちろん他のヒロインも、随時実装予定なので、乞うご期待だ！
Translation:
Three kinds of character cosplay!
“Character cosplay” is cosplaying as the official characters from the 3 works “Clannad”, “Shuffle!” and “D.C.II.”, and thereby powering up your charadoll.
For this first version, there’s one person (character) from each (of the games).
Nagisa Furukawa from “Clannad”, Lisianthus from “Shuffle! “, and Otome Asakura from “D.C.II” are the three people.
Of course we hope to be able to release more heroines, as occasion calls for such planned releases.
Next is Nagisa’s section, which explains the items required for that full cosplay set, and what power up it gives in the water gun shooting game.
古河渚（CLANNAD）
古河渚のコスプレ効果は「スリースター」。
水鉄砲が1ショット３発に増えるスリーウェイ攻撃が可能になる。
一発ずつの攻撃力は僅かに落ちるが、多数の敵に囲まれた時や、
ザコキャラを一掃する際には効果的な攻撃方法だ。渚コスプレ効果を得るために必要なアイテムは４つ！

第１期導入のキャラコスプレの中では最もアイテム数が少ないため、
最初にチャレンジするのに最適なキャラコスプレとも言える。
Translation:
Nagisa Furukawa (Clannad)
The effect of Nagisa Furukawa cosplay is “Three Shot”.
This causes one shot from the water gun to thrice multiply into a 3-way shot.
Each shot’s offensive power drops a bit, but it can surround many enemies at once, and can take out disposable (cannon fodder) characters in one clean sweep.To get the effect of Nagisa cosplay, 4 items are needed!

Because items in the first installation of character cosplay are extremely few in number, it could be said that this is the most suitable challenge to doing character cosplay.
Translation notes:
[C1] As best as I can tell from my research, Mitsusaka High School is the proper reading of 光坂高校.
The next section is on Lisianthus from Shuffle!, and describes her cosplay powerup and required items.
リシアンサス（SHUFFLE!!）
リシアンサスのコスプレ効果は「スターダスト」。
巨大な弾丸を目の前の敵に対して射出する。
さらに目標に命中すると水しぶきが飛び散り、周囲の敵にも小ダメージを与えることができるスプラッシュヒット効果も追加されている。リシアンサスコスプレ効果を得るために必要なアイテムは６つ！

リシアンサスコスプレ効果を得るには6アイテムと、ちょっとハードルが高め。
バーベナ学園の女子制服にスカート、帽子、シューズに加えて、ウィッグとリボンが必要となる。
レンタル品も使用可なので、最初は上手に使い分けるのがベター。
Translation:
Lisianthus (Shuffle!!)
The effect of Lisianthus cosplay is “Stardust.”
Emits an enormous shot at the enemy in front of you.
Furthermore, in addition to hitting your target, it scatters a sheet of spray, giving a splash damage effect which can cause a bit of damage to surrounding enemies.To get the effect of Lisianthus cosplay, 6 items are needed!

The Verbena Academy Uniform with skirt, hat, and shoes, in addition to the wig and ribbon, are required.It is acceptable to use rental items, as skillful use will be best at first.
Next, and finally, is Otome Asakura from Da Capo II.
朝倉 音姫（D.C.Ⅱ）
朝倉音姫のコスプレ効果は「シューティングスター」。
水鉄砲の射程が、初期効果の中では群を抜いて長い。
その分威力は弱く、スプラッシュヒットもクリティカルも期待値は低いが、長射程からの攻撃はチームプレイには非常に役立つ効果なのだ。音姫コスプレ効果を得るために必要なアイテムは５つ！

Translation:
Otome Asakura (D.C. II )
The effect of Otome Asakura cosplay is “Shooting Star.”
The initial effect is to increase the water gun’s range to a length that surpasses all.
To that extent, it has weak strength, and the expectation of splash damage and criticals is low. However, long range attacks become exceedingly useful in team play.To get the effect of Otome Asakura cosplay, 5 items are required!

The Kazami Academy main campus uniform top and bottom, as well as the, “Otome Asakura wig (female),” the “Kazami Academy student council arm band (female),” and the “Otome matching boots” are necessary items.
Translation notes:
[E1] I translated 風見学園本校 as Kazami Academy Main Campus because means either “main school” or “this school” according to WWWJDIC, and the latter didn’t make sense in this context. ;)
[E2] ワンピース is translated as “dress” here, because it’s a “one-piece dress.”

Translation notes:
[F1] This could be translated as “Attribute” or “Context”, however it is likely used in this context an abbreviation of 萌え属性, or Moe attributes. Things that make a character “moe,” in other words. (See also this entry at Hatena [in Japanese].)
Well, that’s another long entry. ^^; I seem to be getting a bit better and faster at translating these as I go along. Hopefully I’ll be able to get to that remaining entry from September before the next post on October 9th, and the beta test roll out on the 13th. n.n;
